FCWCS Places Third, National Lemonade Day Stand

The Lemonade Committee did a fantastic job of showing their entrepreneurial spirit with their stand in New Orleans East on Saturday, May 5th.

Warriors sold more than 350 glasses of delicious lemonade at the corner of Lake Forest and Bullard Avenues, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., outlasting most of our competitors during the National Lemonade Day, sponsored by Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans.

Warriors were able to donate $200.00 to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society in memory of 5th grader Vernal Morgan, Jr.

The Warrior Stand placed third in the “competition” for overall best stand, earning a spot in the JA Hall of Fame, an invite to the awards banquet at the Roosevelt Hotel and an additional $100.00 in earnings. Special kudos goes out to staff members Cari White and Gretchen Johnson and student S. Richardson, who represented FCWCS at the awards banquet.
