Annual Red Ribbon Week Celebration 2014

“Love Yourself. Be Drug Free.” Annual Red Ribbon Week Celebration, 2014

Since our days in the trailers, FCW’s Warriors have taken part in the National Red Ribbon Campaign against drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. Observed each October, it has become a part of our annual school calendar. Taken the helm, as always, is our school counselor Mrs. J. Edmond.

The observance began after the kidnapping, torture and murder of Drug Enforcement Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena in 1985. Begun in his hometown of Calexico, California, it has become an yearly event in schools across the nation. Red Ribbon Week reaches about 80 million people each year in the USA.
