Application Process: Follows RSD’s OneApp enrollment process. RSD will match students to schools based on parental preference and available spaces. After application due date, contact the RSD Family Resource Center(s) to enroll. Refer to the Recovery School District’s website ( for details.
Requirements: for residents of Orleans Parish, open enrollment, no academic entrance requirements
Basic Uniforms: required, average cost about $35-$40. (excluding shoes). See website’s home page ( 2016-2017 Uniform Policy for additional information

Student Support Services: part-time nurse & behavioral health specialist, full-time counselor, speech pathologist, reading interventionists, dean of students (2), paraprofessionals (teachers’ aides)

Transportation: private vendor yellow school bus

Breakfast/Lunch Program: breakfast is served beginning at 7:30 am daily; lunch is served daily beginning at 10:30 am to 12:45. Students may also bring their breakfast or lunch (no fast food allowed). Orleans Parish School Board staff prepares meals.
Before and Aftercare: there is no before care, but our AfterSchool Program is open to all students–but space is limited. Program begins in September (hours 3:15 pm – 5:15 pm), Monday through Thursday. All students must register and pay the $20.00 registration fee before attending. Wells Transportation (yellow school bus) provides transportation home. The program ends in late April.
Extended School Year: 4 week summer remedial session, band camp, art camp (small fee involved for some of these activities).

Arts Education: instrumental music, vocal music, and visual arts.
Enrichment Classes: computer literacy, physical education, visual arts, vocal music, and instrumental music.
Extracurricular/Afterschool Activities: student council, marching band, flag twirlers, letter carriers, dance teams, and soccer
Team Sports: cross country (boys & girls), flag football, basketball (boys & girls), cheerleading.
