Dr. Avis Williams, New Superintendent Visits
New Orleans Public Schools first permanent female superintendent in its 181 year history, visited our campus today.
Dr Williams came by to discuss her story and aspirations for NOLA PS with the organization Chiefs for Change (chiefsforchange.org). During her visit, she also met with CEO/Principal Kelly Batiste and looked it on the new Parent Center. Ms. Janice Watts, the facilitator, was on hand to answer questions.
Dr. Williams promised to return in the future and to bring other school leaders to see how our new parent center is progressing.
